Servicing Appliances in the Indianapolis Area

Matching socks, not washer and dryer

It’s an age-old question: where do all the sock matches go? Vogel Appliance doesn’t have the answer, but we do have a tip about matching washers and dryers. You don’t need ’em.

Newer model front-loading washing machines are much more efficient that their older top-loading relatives. They use 60% less water, 68% less energy, and their spin speed is much faster, meaning clothes are dry-er before they go into the dryer. They have the potential of saving $100 a year in energy savings. Front loaders are more gentle on your clothes too.

With all of the great holiday sales, now may be a good time to consider upgrading your older washing machine with a new front-loading washing machine. BUT that doesn’t mean you need a new fangled dryer too. If your existing dryer is working just fine, then why spend the money? Your washer and dryer doesn’t need to match to do their job.
